Replacement Info Correction

There was a significant error in the Jan. 27 announcement about booster pack replacements. It's been corrected in the copy of the announcement now being displayed.

If you got Munchkin Waiting for Santa in the boxed Munchkin Holiday Edition, please do NOT return it to the retailer. The retailer will have no idea what to do with it, because we did NOT recall the whole Munchkin Holiday Edition. He may even strike you with a Shopping Maul (+3 vs. annoying customers). If you want a less-shiny but much-flatter set, return it to Warehouse 23, per the instructions in the Jan. 27 announcement.

Retailers only got refunds for individual booster packs, and only those can legitimately be returned to a store.

Thanks for bearing with us as we lurch blindly through the dungeon, bouncing off the walls and monsters, with chickens on our heads. We are trying, we really are, and we will keep trying. (Ouch!)

Replacement Information for Munchkin Fairy Dust and Waiting For Santa

Last fall, we released two 15-card boosters for Munchkin: Fairy Dust and Waiting for Santa. We printed the cards with foil, which was definitely shiny but caused many of the cards to curl unacceptably. We recalled those sets as soon as we realized the problem was real . . . but a lot made it through to retail, and we know that some stores kept selling them even after we'd made the announcement and refunded the retailers' payments.

If you bought either of these sets from your local retailer, we encourage you to to return it to them for a refund or exchange. We have already refunded everything the distributors and retailers paid for these two sets, so we hope they will be happy to refund/exchange for you. If that doesn't work for you, OR if you got the Waiting for Santa booster as part of the Munchkin Holiday Edition, you may exchange the curly foil set for the new printing of the same set (not foiled, not curly) with us, via Warehouse 23.

Step 1: Cut the tops from each card in the pack. The top half inch (1.3cm) or so – enough to get the title of the card – is perfect.

Step 2: Mail the tops and your mailing address (don't assume we'll be able to read the return address on the envelope by the time it gets to us) to Warehouse 23.

Outdated Fake Money

We've been sending out the 2010 Munchkin Silver Piece with orders this month, but you shouldn't assume this means your 2008 and 2009 Silver Pieces are useless. You can still use the 2008 rules with the 2008 coin and the 2009 rules with the 2009 coin.

An archive of all the coin rules is currently located here, although we are thinking about a reorganization of that page in the near future.
